The Marion-Perry County Library was established in 1934 to provide library services in Perry County, Alabama. Today, the library provides traditional and non-traditional services to all of our patrons.
We are located in Perry County in the heart of the rural Black Belt region in central Alabama.
Our beautiful building was constructed in 1975, and we are in the beginning stages of a full renovation project to update the building and add new services for the community.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(closed every day from 1 - 2 p.m. for lunch)
The Marion-Perry County Library's mission is to provided traditional and
non-traditional services to the public in Perry County. We offer book check out, video and DVD check out, computer services, and copying and faxing services.
Our adult programs include Novel Ties, an adult book club, creative writing workshops, free basic computer classes, and resume/job search workshops.
Children's programs include our Summer Reading Program that runs every summer, story hour on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m., and special seasonal programs.
The Perry County Library Association Board of Trustees meets the first Tuesday of the month.
